UC Browser removed

A mobile browser launched in 2004 by a Chinese mobile internet company UCWeb and is owned by Alibaba, UC Browser removed from the official mobile applications provide – Google Play Store. The reports come out on Tuesday when many users listed the disappearance of UC Browser. The Founder of Android Police has also posted an e-mail information that was sent by the UC union. The mail is describing the reason. It stated that the browser has been eliminated as it used Malicious Promotion to grow the app installations. Other applications by the firm – UC Browser Mini (a lighter mobile browser) and UC news are still available.

Another news for delisting the mobile browser was unveiled by a Twitter user Mike Ross who is a worker at UC Browser. He tweeted that the UC Browser has been displaced from Google Play Store for 30 days because of opting invalid means of promoting the app and increasing the installations.

As per the reports, the UCWeb’s browser got 500 million downloads last month and reportedly having 100 million Indian users.

Earlier, UC browser was accused of sending personal data of its Indian users to the server of China considering which harmful for the country, the government was all decided to ban the browser in the country if found guilty. Later, the firm had issued a statement expressing user’s security is their first priority.

The University of Toronto recently revealed a report which was showing the numerous significant privacy and security vulnerabilities. A recent record from StatCounter pointing that UC Browser is subsisting 50 percent shares which is followed nearly by Google Chrome, saying reports from NDTV.

If Google has discarded UC Browser from Play Store then how a person can get the mobile application?. The company is providing a Link to an APK file to enable installation. The Browser was originated in 2004 as a J2ME-only application. It is available on various platforms – Java ME, Microsoft Windows, and Windows Phone, Android, Blackberry OS etc.
