Xiaomi Redmi 4A

The introduction of new Xiaomi Redmi 4A variant was exposed by Manu Kumar Jain, vice president at Xiaomi and managing director when he tweeted – Surprise!, we are launching a new variant of Redmi 4A.

The company placed this phone with a price tag of 6,999. There is an obvious feature of 3 GB RAM (extended 1 GB of the standard) and 32GB built-in storage which was 16 GB in the previous version launched by the Xiaomi in March and was priced at 5,999. This handset’s sale would be made available through Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, Paytm, and Tata CliQ.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 4A was first seen in November 2016 in China. Growing its sales, the company introduced it in India in March 2017, four months later from China. After the handset’s sales initiation, this is made available via online stores only using Amazon. 4A’s sales were held on the Sundays only for one hour from 12:00 noon to 01:00 pm.

As a recall, the Redmi 4A (previous variant as well as the new one) is featured with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, a 5-lens system, by a backed LED flash, a 13-megapixel sensor with PDAF and 5 Megapixel front camera as well. It is powered by a 3120mAh battery with fast charging support.

For the handset’s body to be strong, a polycarbonate body has been inducted into it and a hybrid dual-SIM supporting specification as well. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with the Adreno 308 GPU.

Redmi 4A, the new and previous variant can be differentiated as the previous one has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage while newly launched has 32 GB built-in storage and 3 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage of both of the phones can be expanded up to 128 GB using microSD cards.
